Situational Training Exercise

Pounding his fist on the pulpit, Reverend Richard Rapture shouted about the freedom from the law his parishioners have in the New Covenant. Amongst them, Lieutenant Lonny Law refused to raise the white flag of surrender on this topic. In the fourier after the service he shared not only with the Reverend but several other members about his disagreement with the message. Soon after, Reverend Rapture and the rest of mob encompassed the Lieutenant and said to him, "we're under the New Covenant," and insisted he was reading the wrong direction in his Bible!

Objective: Give a short briefing to Lieutenant Law on how to defend himself against the mob and Reverend Rapture on this ever so popular quote!

  1. Heaven and Earth hav NOT passed away!
Mat 5:17 "Don't think that I have come to abolish the Torah or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish but to complete.
Mat 5:18 Yes indeed! I tell you that until heaven and earth pass away, not so much as a yud ( י ) or a stroke will pass from the Torah — not until everything that must happen has happened.
Mat 5:19 So whoever disobeys the least of these mitzvot and teaches others to do so will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But whoever obeys them and so teaches will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Mat 5:20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness is far greater than that of the Torah-teachers and P'rushim, you will certainly not enter the Kingdom of Heaven!
We must learn from the Torah HOW to be even MORE Righteous than the Torah Teachers themselves. That is the DOING of the Torah. That is how we learn to be Righteous before our Creator Yahweh.
