Situational Training Exercise

Imprisoned but forgiven, and out on parole for good behavior in a couple of months, Private Glenn Grace, a new student of the Bible just asked Chaplin Charles Crook during their prison church service, "which day is the Sabbath Day?" Chaplin Crook responded with a cunning smile saying, "I keep Sabbath on Sunday," almost daring Private Grace to challenge him on this topic. Not sure how to respond without making waves, Private Grace holds his silence.

Objective: Advise Private Grace how to respond to an apparent prideful individual. Provide him with the scriptures necessary to clear up this controversy regarding the Sabbath Day!

  1. Private Grace being a new student of the Bible my advice would be to continue in his study of God's Word and to hold fast to that and not what any man says if he contradicts the Word. Personally, While making Sunday a special day I felt in my Spirit an odd conviction when reading the 4th commandment and now I know it's because YHWH says:

"Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy, Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of YHWH your Elohim. .......For in six days YHWH made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore YHWH blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it. Exodus 20:8

Of course Private Glen you can check any calendar and see that the seventh day is Saturday, and if that isn't enough just as any Jewish person and they will tell you.
